A new Seattle Superhero is born this week!

From our friends at Make-A-Wish:

“Superheroes come in all shapes and sizes – from caped crusaders protecting cities to children like seven-year-old Nick, who is fearlessly battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Now undergoing his second round of chemotherapy, Nick has tapped into his superhero strength and spirit to endure a dosage that is typically given to much older children.

“He never complains, EVER,” said his mom, Stephanie.  “Nick rarely gets sick, but after he does, he is smiling and running off to play. He is literally the strongest person I have ever met.” With heroic strength like this, it’s no surprise he wished to be transformed into a superhero alter-ego of his own creation: Red Lightning!
