It’s back to good vs. evil after a month of pure evil courtesy DC Comics Villains Month in which bad guys ruled the comic book shops with stand-alone issues starring the rogues, foes and psychos you love to hate!

Forever Evil #1 kicked it off with the Crime Syndicate of America declaring the Justice League was dead, rallying the villains into an army and using Nightwing as a painful example of what happens if you oppose them.

Bad guys from Anton Arcane to General Zod starred in wave after wave of issues that tied into the status quo of Forever Evil.

What was the best Villains Month issue? Continue reading The Best of VILLAINS MONTH

Batman’s immortal nemesis rises again as DC Comics Villains Month continues.

James Tynion IV and Jorge Lucas explore the past of Ra’s Al Ghul in Batman and Robin #23.3 Ra’s Al Ghul and League of Assassins.

Grant Morrison gave a hint of what Ra’s Al Ghul’s possible plans may be in his Batman, Incorporated finale. But the Villains Month stand-alone is being hailed as “the origin of Ra’s al Ghul in The New 52.”

The story comes at a time when all of the great villains are confronted by the Crime Syndicate who has supposedly killed the Justice League and declared our Earth as their own. Continue reading Origin of Batman Villain Ra’s Al Ghul

Villains Month is a feast for fans of evil icons like Joker, Zod and Darkseid. This week Batman and Robin #23.2 Court of Owls stars the malevolent secret society that could inspire fear in the rest of DC’s solo super villains.

James Tynion IV and Jorge Lucas craft a visually and tonally dark  stand-alone issue that could be the most terrifying tale of this month of all-star evil.

Exquisite Dread is a chilling tale set in the past and present of Gotham City.  3 stories of poor souls who dare to defy the Court of Owls woven through the current day storyline as the Court reacts to a world in chaos after the death of the Justice League.
