THOR: RAGNAROK rocked Marvel fans with the Odinson in massive matchups against the Hulk, Hela and Surtur. Director Taika Waititi and the writers packed the third Thor solo film with Easter eggs, cameos and what might be the most important post-credits scene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
THOR: RAGNAROK took elements from the Ragnarok legend, Planet Hulk and Contest of Champions. The cliffhanger sets up the cosmic showdown coming in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and beyond in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Here’s our favorite surprises and what could happen to the Odinson next:
Chris Hemsworth is back in THOR RAGNAROK, his third solo film as the Odinson. Mark Ruffalo joins the cosmic adventure as Bruce Banner/Hulk. Tom Hiddleston returns as Loki. The Thunder God needs all the help he can get as one of Marvel’s biggest villains attacks.

The first teaser for Thor: Ragnarok is here from Marvel. along with a new poster (via Twitter) showing the Thunder God’s new helmet and uniform for the arena.
Chris Hemsworth returns as the Odinson facing new enemies out of classic comics canon and a fellow Avenger!
Marvel shared a new synopsis for Thor: Ragnarok which confirms the next Odinson movie will be a contest of champions:
“In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!”
Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Anthony Hopkinds reprise their roles as Thor, Loki and Odin. Idris Elba is back as Heimdall.
Cate Blanchett will play Hella, known in comics as the Goddess of Death and Queen of the Underworld. Jeff Goldblum is The Grandmaster. In comics this character is connected to The Collector (who appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy) as Elders of the Universe.
