Chewbacca #1 Sometimes you get what you wish for! At a Marvel Emerald City Comicon panel, I asked for a Chewie solo book even if the word balloons were just grunts and growls. I think we’ll see more from writer Deadpool writer Gerry Duggan and artist Phil Noto as Chewie gets a new sidekick on a new planet but familiar Imperial trouble.

New Avengers #1 Hanging out on Avengers Island with a rebel team (Sunspot, Cannonball, Squirrel Girl, Wiccan, Hulkling, Hawkeye and Songbird) by Al Ewing and Gerardo Sandoval. When an Avenger buys A.I.M. is science, superheroics and the threat of a twisted Reed Richards. Continue reading New Comics Picks for October 14, 2015

The Walking Dead creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman set the record straight on a popular character and teased what’s ahead on The Talking Dead after the mid-season finale.

After a fan asked about Daryl Dixon Kirkman discussed the asexuality of the character and went on to say the character was straight but he and the network would not have had a problem if the character was gay.

Kirkman went on the tease “a gay character from the comics” would be appearing in the second half of the season.

The Walking Dead fans are anxiously awaiting the return of the series after a cruel cliffhanger.

Rick, Maggie, Glenn, more survivors and new allies united at Terminus only to learn it’s a trap. While Rick’s group evaded zombies they could be on the menu for desperate humans who may have turned to cannibalism.

Lauren Cohan is grungy and sweaty on the series as Maggie Greene but gets to clean up for a sexy photo shoot in the upcoming GQ magazine. Continue reading LAUREN COHAN of THE WALKING DEAD On Playing Maggie

THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 5 COMIC CON TRAILER

AMC premiered The Walking Dead Season Five trailer at San Diego Comic Con.

While zombies stalk the Earth, the biggest threat this season is from a rival community of survivors that may or may not be eating the living.

When we last left, most of the survivors and new cast members reunited at Terminus only to be corralled like cattle into a train car.

There are creepy scenes that suggest Rick and his survivor family will be tortured and possibly on the menu but there’s hints of an alliance.

Who will survive to continue the trek to Washington, D.C. and the hope to find a cure?

If you’re lucky enough to see this on the big screen at SDCC here is the intense trailer. Once you see the premiere date, don’t stop! Keep watching to see the possible fate of a lost survivor and hint of the real secret of Terminus: Continue reading THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 5 COMIC CON TRAILER
