Before Sharknado became the beast of the internet – I was a fan of SyFy’s epic collection of monster mashes including Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, Sharktopus, and my personal favorite: Shark Attack 3: Megaladon.
In honor of the Sharknado sensation here are two classic comic villains and a newbie hero – all with BITE!
Tiger Shark! This Marvel super villain rose to evil infamy in Namor, The Sub-Mariner! An injured Olympic swimmer used mad science and Namor’s DNA to become a monstrous criminal. Todd Arliss is an old rival of Namor and one time member of the Masters of Evil and the Lethal Legion. Here’s a great shot of a two-headed Tiger Shark from the limited series: Fear Itself: The Deep! Continuum Season Two begins on the SyFy Channel this Friday, June 7th. Here’s a sneak peek at the exciting new season from two of the stars:
Rachel Nichols (Star Trek, Alias, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) plays Kiera Cameron, a police officer for a corporate run law enforcement organization in 2077. Kiera has been torn from her family and thrust into our time along with a fanatic group of terrorists from her future.
Erik Knudsen plays Alec Sadler the young computer guru who helps her in the present day but….
SPOILERS from Season One!
In the shocking season one finale we learned Alec grows up to the corporate overlord who is ultimately responsible for Kiera being trapped in the past and losing her family.
Earlier this year at Fan Expo Vancouver – Nichols and Knudsen told me how the future revelation affects their characters bond and sets the drama for the new season.
