In the aftermath of Avengers Standoff, Steve Rogers is young again. Armed with a new shield and sporting a new costume, Marvel’s original Captain America will star in a Free Comic Book Day issue the first Saturday in May.

Writer Nick Spencer, Executive Editor Tom Brevoort answered fan questions in a Marvel live event and talked about what’s next for the original Sentinel of Liberty as he goes back in action in a brand new series.

Spencer will continue writing Captain America: Sam Wilson and launch Captain America: Steve Rogers.

Rogers returns to action in the field after playing the role of commanding officer with big challenges including Civil War II, the Red Skull’s terrifying new Hydra, and Baron Zemo is still out there.

The return of Zemo of Red Skull mark a return of classic rogues gallery in the Rogers books.

In July Steve Rogers book will tie into Civil War II with Cap trying to broker a truce between Carol Danvers and Tony Stark. After leading the anti-registration movement opposite Iron Man in the first Civil War, how will Steve’s role change with the new conflict.

CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR The Past Is Prologue Trailer

Marvel revealed a new trailer for Captain America: Civil War showing how it’s biggest heroes (Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark) evolved over the previous films.

The Past of Prologue includes footage from earlier movies combined with the upcoming showdown between Captain America and Iron Man. The latest trailer shows fans why the two heroes have been friends but have never really been on the same page.

When the world government crack down on superheroes, the differences between Steve and Tony quickly grow into a huge divide and eventually war.

Marvel reveals new art from John Cassaday and a new interview with Joss Whedon about their upcoming reunion. The Astonishing X-Men team will work together again on a new story for Captain America’s 75th Anniversary as revealed in EW.

The Avengers director and acclaimed artist collaborated on an iconic and influential X-Men run. The new story starring Steve Rogers will appear in Captain America: Sam Wilson #7.

This is Whedon’s first time writing the hero in a comic book.

We know Steve Rogers is making a comeback but who’s back from the dead…or were they ever really gone?

Marvel revealed a second Free Comic Book Day title.

As announced in this week’s Captain America 75th Anniversary Special, Steve Rogers will return to full power and a new uniform in Steve Rogers, Captain America #1 this May.

FCBD Captain America #1 will be Steve’s first adventure since his restoration by creative team Nick Spencer and Jesus Saiz.

Marvel teased an all-new Captain America. Today writer Rick Remender shares details on the new role for Steve Rogers and more on the hero who will carry the shield.

 

The Super Soldier Serum is out of Rogers body and he’s now a frail man who looks and feels his actual age. Rogers is physically weaker than ever while the Red Skull is more powerful than ever (after stealing Professor X’s brain in Uncanny Avengers.)
