Peter Parker will continue being the Amazing Spider-Man in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now this fall.

And he’s not just a neighborhood Spidey…he’s going global.

Earlier Marvel revealed Miles Morales will swing from the Ultimate Universe to the new main Marvel reality this fall in a Spider-Man book.

Marvel made it official:

Parker will star in Amazing Spider-Man by fan-favorite writer Dan Slott and Guiseppe Camuncoli with a new costume designed by Alex Ross as revealed by MTV News.

WHO SURVIVES ULTIMATE END UPDATE

Miles Morales will survive Secret Wars and join the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now but will any other Ultimate Universe heroes swing over to the main new Marvel this Fall?

Marvel revealed Morales will star in a brand new Spider-Man by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli and be on the All-New, All-Different Avengers when Secret Wars ends.

Ultimate Spider-Man original team Bendis and Mark Bagley are crafting Ultimate End, the five-part limited series tied to Secret Wars that is the final Ultimate story.

A huge week of Spider-Man news continues as Marvel and Sony reveal the star and director of the movie reboot.

Tom Holland (The Impossible) is the new Peter Parker. Jon Watts (Cop Car) is directing.

Here’s the official Marvel announcement:

“Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are proud to announce that after a full worldwide casting search, Tom Holland will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the next Spider-Man film, in theaters in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017. The film will be directed by Jon Watts, director of “Cop Car,” the upcoming thriller that made its debut earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival. Miles Morales will survive the end of the Ultimate Universe to star in a brand new Spider-Man book by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli.

Morales will be the Spider-Man of the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now this fall following Secret Wars. The broke via the New York Daily News.

“Our message has to be it’s not Spider-Man with an asterisk, it’s the real Spider-Man for kids of color, for adults of color and everybody else,” Bendis told the New York Daily News of his creation and the move to the main Marvel Universe. June is known for weddings and it’s a second honeymoon of sorts for Marvel’s friendly married Spider-Man.

The most romantic of all the Secret Wars tie-in books arrives this week with Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows by Dan Slott and Adam Kubert.

One More Day is one of the most controversial stories in Spidey history in how it erased Peter Parker’s marriage to Mary Jane.

SPIDER-MAN ANIMATED MOVIE In 2018

Spider-Man – a new animated movie is swinging into cinemas in 2018.

Sony announced The LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will helm a new animated feature starring the Marvel super hero according to Variety.

Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman made the announcement at CinemaCon saying the film will “co-exist” with the live-action Spiderman universe, but the press release clarifies: “The film will exist independently of the projects in the live-action Spider-Man universe, all of which are continuing.
