Three women are having a major impact on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Update 1: Mockingbird is singing with fans and producers.

Adrianne Palicki has been promoted to series regular according to TV Line. Palicki joined the series as Bobbi Morse, a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative working inside Hydra but now part of Team Coulson.

Palicki is now a series regular starting with Aftershocks, the March 3 midseason premiere.

2: Marvel announced Drea de Matteo (The Sopranos) will play Karla Faye Gideon, a “Gifted woman with a grudge against S.H.I.E.L.D. who joins forces with Skye’s father, Cal.”

Villain Wish For MARVEL’S AGENTS OF SHIELD

Inspired by the guest appearance of Lorelei and Lady Sif from Thor and news of a Hulk enemy joining Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I’m inspired to think of a perfect nemesis for Agent Coulson and his squad.

More Villains For THOR and AGENTS OF SHIELD

Sif (Jaime Alexander) thundered into this week’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in pursuit of the seductive Lorelei – a renegade Asgardian on Earth.

 

It’s the second citizen from Thor’s realm to appear on the series. Peter MacNichol played Dr. Elliot Randolph in an episode set in the aftermath of Thor: The Dark World. Randolph turned out to be an ancient Asgardian who’d been living on Midgard for years.

SIF: Celebrating Her Comic Book and AGENTS OF SHIELD Debut

From Thor: The Dark World to Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Jaime Alexander reprises her role as Lady Sif on the ABC series on March tonight.

 

Sif’s return to Midgard (what the Asgardians call Earth) is tied to the debut of the villainess Lorelei, who appeared in the final moments of last week’s issue.

 

Sif’s television debut coincides with the 50th Anniversary of the hero. As pointed out by Marvel’s Brett White, Sif made her comic book debut in Journey Into Mystery #2 back in 1964.

THOR Star On MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Lady Sif is coming to Midgard!

 

Marvel announced Jaime Alexander will reprise her role as the Asgardian warrior on an upcoming episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

THOR: THE DARK WORLD for Virgins

THOR: THE DARK WORLD opens Friday. Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the Avenger from Asgard for third time. If this big movie is your third or first time seeing the Thunder God in action here’s a guide for Thor virgins or hammer wielding fans who want to get a refresher. Given the response to my Avengers for Virgins post I wanted to give an update of fun Thor basics and what to watch for in the sequel!

 

Comic Book Origin: Thor was co-created by the legendary Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby in Journey Into Mystery in 1963 and based on Norse mythology. The hammer wielding God of Thunder was a founding member of the Avengers as they assembled against the threat of his brother, Loki.
