A comic book event so big it deserves a big trailer! Marvel has premiered this sneak peek for what could be the biggest story of 2013! Avengers and X-Men Romance Novels?

Two of Marvel’s hottest heroines will jump from comic books into their own novels! Rogue (X-Men, Uncanny Avengers) and She-Hulk (FF, Avengers) will headline two new novels from Hyperion Books and Marvel Entertainment.

Here’s how Marvel describes the novels:

In The “She-Hulk Diaries,” Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, juggles climbing the corporate ladder by day and battling villains and saving the world by night—all while trying to navigate the dating world to find a Mr. Right who might not mind a sometimes-very big and green girlfriend.

Rogue Touch,” features one of the most popular X-Men characters, Rogue, a young woman trying to navigate the challenges of everyday life and romance—except that her touch is deadly. After accidentally putting her first boyfriend in a coma, she runs away from home where, she meets the handsome and otherworldly James and sparks fly. Like Rogue, however, James’ life is hardly simple. To elude his mysterious and dangerous family, James shaves his head, dons all black. Stealing a car, they head out on the highway and eventually, Rogue has to decide whether she will unleash her devastating powers in order to save the only man alive who seems to truly understand her.”

In the comics Rogue has been in an ongoing triangle with Gambit and Magneto but is currently solo. She-Hulk’s conquests include Hercules, Juggernaut and Wyatt Wingfoot. Let’s hope Rogue and Jen find better luck at love in the novels!

Fantastic Four #2 Preview

Fantastic Four #2 courtesy Marvel

Matt Fraction and Mark Bagley launched Fantastic Four #1 with heart, humor and thrills. Reed is taking Marvel’s First Family on a new adventure through time and space but he’s hiding the real reason behind the sudden trip – and it’s a heartbreaker.

Before Reed, Sue, Johnny, Ben and the kids blast off they must recruit a new FF to take their place. Marvel shared preview art for Fantastic Four #2. We Medusa, She-Hulk, Ant-Man and She-Thing will take over for them in a brand new FF title by Fraction and Mike Allred. This next issue shows us how Reed recruited his “replacements.”

I’ve always been in love with Medusa. She may be my favorite redhead in comics (maybe after Jean Grey?) The Queen of the Inhumans will be a perfect mother figure for the kids of the Future Foundation.

I’m loving She-Hulk and Ben Grimm pumping iron! Jennifer served as Ben’s replacement back in the John Byrne era.

Ant-Man (Scott Lang) may be the one friend Reed can share his secret with? The two men share a bond of science and being fathers. Scott could find the key to cure Reed somewhere in the microverse?

Mike Allred on the new FF

FF #1 courtesy Marvel

Matt Fraction revealed he’s taking the Fantastic Four on a family vacation into space with artist Mark Bagley. While Marvel’s First Family is away the Earth will be protected by the FF with artist Mike Allred. Fraction’s backup team includes Ant-Man and Medusa of the Inhumans. The Madman creator tells Marvel.com why he joined the FF.

“When I was approached with a project starring one of my all-time favorite, and vastly under-rated, characters, Ant-Man, I leapt out of my shoes. Literally. Those shoes are ruined now. Ant-Man has been there from the beginning. One of the very first Marvel heroes, folks; I think the first or second behind the Fantastic Four. Most people don’t know that.

Then add claiming the Baxter Building with my fave Marvel lady, Medusa, big and sexy She-Hulk, and one of the cleverest creations in recent memory, Miss Thing—now I’m almost out of my skin. Fortunately that’s just a figure of speech. I’m still tucked nicely away into my skin.

Seriously, I’m going nuts with excitement. I’m living the dream I dreamt when I was a kid, laying on the living room floor making comics with my big brother Lee.”

I have to agree with Allred’s excitement for Medusa – I love her too. Here’s the link to Matt Fraction revealing his take on the Fantastic relaunch.

Angie Harmon As She-Hulk?

Sensational She-Hulk Volume One by John Byrne courtesy Marvel

Angie Harmon (Law & Order, Rizzoli & Isles) tells Conan O’Brien she wants to play She-Hulk! Stan Lee and John Buscema created the jade giant in Savage She-Hulk #1. Attorney Jennifer Walters is the cousin of Bruce Banner who got Hulked up after a blood transition from him.

She-Hulk has been a member of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Defenders, Lady Liberators, Heroes for Hire and SHIELD. Jennifer has been the legal counsel for numerous Marvel superheroes. John Byrne and Peter David had long runs writing Senstational She-Hulk in which Jennifer broke the fourth wall and talked directly with the comic book reader.

Jennifer’s romances include John Jameson, Starfox and she has a longtime crush on Hercules. Here’s Angie Harmon:

She-Hulk may not appear in an Avengers or her own solo movie but maybe a television series on ABC? Kind of a Sex and the City meets Ally McBeal with superheroes – if Angie is really willing to go green! Thanks to TeamCoco and Comic Book Resources.
