Buffy Season 10 #1 New rules for ages-old war between Slayers and Vampires. After tampering with magic will Buffy still have what it takes to win the battle against the undead? Christos Gage and Rebekah Isaacs begins the next season of Buffy and the gang under executive producer Joss Whedon. Dark Horse Comics will have a special Emerald City Comicon variant for this issue at the Seattle event later this month.

 

Daredevil #1 The Eisner Award winning team of Mark Waid and Chris Samnee take the Man Without Fear on new adventures. Matt Murdock moves west to San Francisco. DC COMICS Announces JIM LEE Signing & Emerald City Comicon Variants

DC Comics is bringing Jim Lee (Justice League, Superman Unchained) to Emerald City Comicon. The publisher revealed Lee will be signing from 2-4pm on Friday, March 28th the first day of the Seattle con. Wristband will be required for the event.

 

DC revealed two ECCC Exclusive variants:

 

BATMAN #29 by ECCC Guest Scott Snyder and fan favorite artist Greg Capullo. This convention exclusive takes the latest “Riddler” themed cover and gives it a location-specific touch: green for Seattle, the Emerald City. Deadly Class #2 High school is already hell but imagine a high school for students trying to master deadly arts? Rick Remender and Wesley Craig’s twisted Image series takes us on a new kid’s first day where cutting class could get your killed. Batman writer Scott Snyder reveals major spoilers coming in tomorrow’s Batman #28 which looks 6 months into the future of the DC Universe.

Batman Eternal begins this April. The new weekly series by all-star writers Scott Snyder (acting as a Show Runner) with James Tynion IV, John Layman, Ray Fawkes and Tim Seeley tells a massive storyline with the huge cast of the Dark Knight’s friends and foes.

Image Comics revealed a huge rundown of new creator-owned projects coming in 2014. At the Image Comics Expo – the publisher celebrated a year of creator-owned successes and huge sales while fans can celebrate the next wave of new projects from some of the biggest creators in comics.

 

The biggest announcement: Ed Brubaker (Fatale, Criminal, Velvet) and Sean Phillips (Incognito, Sleeper) and Image Comics signed an unprecedented deal in comics publishing, a five year deal to do anything they want with total freedom, total control, and total ownership over their projects. Writer Scott Snyder revealed via Twitter that the finale of Batman: Zero Year: Dark City will be in Batman #29 and issue 28 will now be a future story by Snyder, James Tynion and artist Dustin Nguyen.

 

Batman #28 will be set 6 months ahead of current DC Comics The New 52 continuity to give fans a look at what’s coming up in 2014. Snyder is working on Batman Eternal, a new weekly series debuting next year. Snyder also shared this Nguyen preview design of a character in the future issue. Continue reading BATMAN Future Preview
