Comics legend Stan Lee, Lt. Uhura of Star Trek, Stephen King, J.K. Rowling – what a party that would be!

Star Wars vs Star Trek – could you really choose just one?

You have the power to put your favorite science fiction films, television shows and authors into a stellar pantheon.

Fans will get a chance to express their love for science fiction icons and beloved franchises. Which creators, creations will join the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame?

Seattle’s EMP Museum is asking you to cast your vote for the 2016 Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame inductees starting today through Wednesday, May 11 at EMPmuseum.org/vote. EMP’s Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame celebrates the people and works that have made significant contributions to the science fiction and fantasy genres.

In anticipation of the Hall of Fame’s 20th anniversary, EMP expands the exhibit to include two categories: Creators and Creations. After inviting the public to submit their nominations, a committee of science fiction and fantasy experts from across the media landscape narrowed down this list from nearly 2,000 submissions to the final twenty nominees, which include authors Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, The Matrix filmmakers Lana and Lilly Wachowski, blockbuster franchises Star Trek, Star Wars, and dystopian novels 1984 and Brave New World, the film Blade Runner, plus all the icons named above.
Choose your favorites and cast your vote at EMPmuseum.org/vote. Winners will be announced during EMP’s Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame Celebration this fall – more on the big celebration coming soon.

Here are the nominees: Continue reading VOTE FOR THE SCIENCE FICTION HALL OF FAME
