Marvel already declared an iconic hero will die leading to Civil War II.

Captain Marvel and Iron Man will lead opposing forces over the fate of a new Inhuman with the power to see the future. Inhuman Ulysses appeared before a deadly attack by Thanos (in the Free Comic Book Day issue) that may have claimed a beloved Avenger.

As we celebrate Black History Month we’re inspired to salute African-American superheroes and update fans on their status in their comic book universes.

With Anthony Mackie’s breakout performance as Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Chadwick Boseman (42) cast as Black Panther and the return of Milestone Media with new and returning heroes – a lot has happened in a year.

Fictional superheroes are not as critical as real civil rights leaders, scientists, boundary breaking athletes and artists but it’s important to celebrate diversity in comic books. Most of these black characters were created by white males but we hope by recognizing these characters it might inspire new writers, artists and editors of all backgrounds to push for new voices and greater diversity in making comics and inside comics. Marvel reveals the next almost all-new, all-different lineup for Uncanny Avengers.

The book launched in the aftermath of Avengers vs. X-Men with Captain America and Wolverine forming a Unity squad including Thor, Havok, Rogue and Scarlet Witch. Wasp, Wonder Man and Sunfire later joined the roster.

Now we know a very different team lineup will form in the aftermath of AXIS.

Veterans Rogue and Scarlet Witch will be joined by Sam Wilson (the new Captain America) Vision, Brother Voodoo, Quicksilver, Vision and Sabretooth as reported by ComicBook.com.

Victor Creed may still be “inverted” after the events of AXIS and playing the hero or anti-hero. Marvel heroes and villains will change roles as a results of the Red Onslaught – the Red Skull armed with the telepathic power of Professor X. Continue reading UNCANNY AVENGERS After AXIS
