Producers are moving ahead with X-Men: Apocalypse for 2016 but are apparently not finished with X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Fox will release a new extended cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past based on Tweets from Producer Lauren Schuler Donner and a Fox Marketing Executive.The new cut will arrive in 2015 and feature the subplot featuring Rogue (Anna Paquin) that was cut from the original film and more deleted scenes. X-Men: Days of Future Past is here and generating rave reviews. In honor of the film based on the classic Chris Claremont story and uniting members of the original and First Class casts here’s a salute to some truly astonishing X-fans.
This cosplaying duo took inspiration from X-Men: First Class for their appearance at Emerald City Comicon this year.
Anna Paquin reprised her role as Rogue in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Then came rumors the fan-favorite mutant was cut from the film and now she may have a cameo.
Producer Simon Kinberg took questions at WonderCon this past weekend about the upcoming film. Kinberg tells CraveOnline about the Rogue storyline that might have been:

Fans were upset with news Anna Paquin had been cut from X-Men: Days of Future Past. According to Vulture – Paquin (as Rogue) was never completely cut from the sequel and it pivotal to a major moment in the plot of the time travel story.
