DC Entertainment showed a sizzle reel for the return of Arrow, The Flash and the debut of Legends of Tomorrow on The CW at Comic-Con in San Diego.
The “Hero Evolution” includes profiles of the heroes and villains recruited by Rip Hunter for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The Time Master recruits a team to battle a classic DC villain.
The Arrow/Flash spinoff is a go and has a title: DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
DC Comics and The CW announced the new super hero team show that’s set within the Arrow and Flash universe got a green light for next season.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“When heroes alone are not enough…the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Ciara Renee has been cast as Kendra Saunders aka Hawkgirl according to Deadline.
According to the report, this version of Hawkgirl is a young woman “who is just beginning to learn she’s been reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back.”
Shayera Hall is another version of the character and crimefighting partner/lover of Hawkman of Thanagar.
