The final trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is here and it heralds “A Sinister New Era.”
Peter Parker faces Electro (Jamie Foxx) Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and it looks like Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) will take freaky flight as Green Goblin.
If you think that’s a lot of villains – just wait!

Sony unveiled the new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Andrew Garfield returns as Peter Parker. While Spidey’s popularity grows in New York so do his list of enemies.
The packed game day trailer includes:
The origin of Electro (Jamie Foxx) and his obsession with Spidey.
An armored up Rhino on the attack.
The ultra creepy Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan.)
And maybe most heart-racing of all…a scene with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) that could mirror one of the most shocking moments in comics history.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 marks the big screen debut of Electro (Jamie Foxx) and the Rhino (Paul Giamatti.) Director Marc Webb shared a first look at Giamatti as the Russian bad guy via twitter over the weekend. The picture of the acclaimed actor came with the message “say hello to Aleksei Sytsevich” (the real name of the man who wears the horned battlesuit. See below)

You could almost give Amazing Spider 2 a subtitle: the Many Foes of Spider-Man! The sequel includes Electro, Rhino, Norman and Harry Osborn. Super hero sequels have suffered from the inclusion of too many villains but writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci say all these foes are “essential” to the story:
“I think you have to go into it and say, ‘is this character essential to the story or are you just throwing him in for no reason whatsoever’,” Kurtzman tells MTV.
The sequel swings into cinemas in May, 2014.

Andrew Garfield will face Jamie Foxx as Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 but a second classic villain could be charging into the sequel! Paul Giamatti is in talks to play the Rhino according to The Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision.
Felicity Jones is also in discussion for an undisclosed role according to the story.
Giamatti and Jones would join a packed cast including Foxx, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn and Emma Stone who reprises her role as Gwen Stacy.
The Rhino debuted in Amazing Spider-Man #41 as Russian thug-for-hire who wears a horned body suit that enhances his strength, speed and endurance.
