DEFENDERS: BENDIS, MARQUEZ Talk New Team Book

The Defenders are coming.

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist are uniting in a new comic book by Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez.

Fans will get a preview of the upcoming series on Free Comic Book Day this weekend ahead of the series launch on June 14.

The Defenders marks a reunion between Bendis and Marquez (Spider-Man, Civil War II) and the writer with the street level heroes he wrote in solo books and his massive New Avengers run.

Bendis, Marquez and Editor Tom Brevoort revealed new details about the project during a Marvel Next Big Thing livechat.

THE PUNISHER Gets NETFLIX Series

Marvel makes it’s official.

Netflix has ordered a full first season of “Marvel’s The Punisher,” continuing their collaboration with Marvel Television.

Jon Bernthal will return as vigilante Frank Castle, after joining the second season of the Netflix original series “Marvel’s Daredevil” earlier this year. Steve Lightfoot will serve as Executive Producer and Showrunner in addition to writing the series’ first two episodes.

Marvel revealed 45 new books and creative teams coming this fall in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now relaunch.

JON BERNTHAL Joins DAREDEVIL as THE PUNISHER

The Man Without Fear meets the Marvel’s ruthless vigilante next season.

Looks like The Punisher is gunning for Daredevil on the hit streaming series.

Marvel announced Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Wolf of Wall Street) will join the cast of the Netflix/Marvel’s Daredevil series season two.

TOM HARDY Wants THE PUNISHER

Tom Hardy played a DC villain, almost played a DC badass and wants to play…a Marvel anti-hero.

Hardy is burning through the post-apocalypse in Mad Max: Fury Road this summer. He had to drop out of playing Rick Flagg in the supervillain team-up movie Suicide Squad due to a scheduling conflict.

When asked about possible comic book roles, Hardy went for a Marvel icon:

“I want the Punisher. I want the Punisher or Splinter Cell, I want something, I don’t what I want,” he told Collider.

Writer Nathan Edmondson launched the new series starring two of the deadliest anti-heroes in the Marvel Universe.

 

This week Natasha Romanoff and Frank Castle’s separate missions bring them together in a two-part crossover.

 

Will the Widow and Punisher clash when they collide?

 

Friend From Foe story kicks off in Black Widow #9.
