To Natasha Fans, With Love.

That’s what the current Black Widow series is from writer Nathan Edmondson (Who Is Jake Ellis, Punisher) and artist Phil Noto (X-23, Astonishing X-Men).

Black Widow is an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. She’s an Avenger. This new book stars Natasha when she’s not either of those roles. These are missions of atonement that she doesn’t want either team to know about. Continue reading BLACK WIDOW: THE FINELY WOVEN THREAD

BLACK WIDOW #2 Review

Black Widow #2 is lean, clean, quick storytelling just like Natasha on a deadly mission.

After a killer debut issue – writer Nathan Edmondson and artist Phil Noto knock it out of the park with another adventure starring the fan-favorite Avenger…not being an Avenger.

One of my most anticipated All-New Marvel Now books is Black Widow by writer Nathan Edmonson and artist Phil Noto.

The new series explores the dark past of the fan-favorite Avenger and super spy. I want to share part of Edmondson’s new Marvel.com interview giving insight on the Natasha’s new solo series.

“About all I can tell you is that the shadows in her past are dark and deep and they are reaching out for her. We will learn some things about them eventually, but keep in mind she’s a master spy: her secrets stay in the dark. When the book opens, though, we’ll be plenty busy with her present and all the action that entails,” Edmondson teases. Continue reading BLACK WIDOW Solo Preview

Hot for Iceman in Astonishing X-Men

After years of what might call being the class clown Bobby Drake is really getting respect but is it going to his head? Just look at Phil Noto’s cover for June’s Astonishing X-Men #63 courtesy Marvel.

Bobby has always been an omega level mutant but he just learned to push the boundaries of his ice powers. And let’s talk about Bobby’s love life. While Iceman and Kitty Pryde shared a kiss and date in Jason Aaron’s Wolverine and the X-Men Bobby received attention from Warbird in Marjorie Liu’s Astonishing X-Men. (And how cool is it that Iceman is in multiple books! Bobby will never beat Logan’s record!)
