Star Wars returns to Marvel Comics in 2015.

 

Writer Jason Aaron (Wolverine and the X-Men) and John Cassaday (Astonishing X-Men) will continue the adventures of Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca and the Rebel Alliance in a brand new Star Wars #1 this January.

 

The Force is with fans as Marvel recruits an all-star roster of artists to create variant covers for the first issue including Alex Ross, Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada and of course Skottie Young in his signature style. One of Marvel’s biggest events roars back in 2015.

 

The Marvel tease machine is unleashing wave after wave of what appears to be new takes on classic stories from Civil War to Planet Hulk.

 

Today marks the arrival of Infinity Gauntlet 2015.

X-MEN Rebuild HOUSE OF M in 2015

The Marvel teaser machine rolls on.

The House of Ideas appears to be revisiting popular ideas with teasers promising to revisit classic stories from Secret Wars and Civil Wars to Planet Hulk.

The latest is is House of M, Summer 2015 by artist Jorge Molina as revealed on IGN.

The original House of M was a limited series by Brian Michael Bendis and Olivier Coipiel. When the Avengers and X-Men confronted the Scarlet Witch (recovering after her breakdown in Avengers Disassembled) she transformed reality into a world in which Magneto and mutants ruled the Earth and every hero was given their heart’s desire to appease them. What If CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 Is CIVIL WAR

What if Robert Downey Jr. joins Captain America 3 and Marvel launches Civil War on the big screen?

 

The 2006 story pit Tony Stark against Steve Rogers over the Superhero Registration Act. When rookie heroes took on the powerhouse Nitro, innocent bystanders including children are killed in the battle. The Stamford Incident leads to the act which forces all super powered beings to surrender their secret identities, register and become official law enforcers for the government. ROBERT DOWNEY JR Joins CAPTAIN AMERICA 3 For CIVIL WAR?

After Robert Downey Jr. said he was in talks with Marvel Studios about Iron Man 4 last week then a Civil War teaser today from Marvel comes the bomb drop:

 

Robert Downey Jr. is in final talks to join Captain America 3 according to Variety – setting up a film based on the epic Civil War story.

 

Downey Jr. is already playing Tony Stark in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers 3.

 

The plot would be based on the story that pits Tony Stark vs. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) after the United States passes the Superhero Registration Act – which forces anyone with super powers to register, reveal their identities and work as super police for the government. Blast into the past with new adventures starring Peggy Carter, Howard Stark and Woodrow Call. Marvel announced Operation S.I.N. by Kathryn Immonen and Rich Ellis at New York Comic Con.

 

The Cold War drama finds Carter and Stark (from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and upcoming Agent Carter series) in a race against Hydra to find an alien artifact. Woodrow McCord (Nick Fury’s predecessor as the “Man on the Wall” from Original Sin) joins the duo in in globe-trotting battle that takes them into Russia. X-MEN UNITED As AXIS Begins

The Red Onslaught is unleashed this week in Avengers and X-Men: AXIS #1. It’s what Rick Remender  has been building up to since the first issue of Uncanny Avengers two years ago.

 

Red Skull armed with Professor Xavier’s brain is unleashing World War Hate on mutants, Inhumans and all super powered heroes. While the story is the uniting of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and the Children of the Atom – AXIS could mark a fractured family’s bitter reunion.

 

Remender made Havok front and center of his epic when Captain America recruited Alex to lead the Avengers Unity Squad. The new team was Steve and Wolverine’s way to uniting the teams after the events of Avengers vs. X-Men.
