Michael Fassbender is sporting a look worn so stylishly by Ian McKellen in the first X-Men film. Fassbender is playing the younger version of Magneto in X-Men: Days of Future Past. McKellen is returning as the present day Master of Magnetism and friend turned rival of Professor X.

Singer share more blasts from the past with artifacts from X-Men: First Class in an earlier photo including Angel’s wing, Magneto’s helmet and Havok’s chestplate that harnessed his cosmic energy.

What If? AvX #1 takes no prisoners!

 

The very concept of Marvel’s What If? books are supposed to be dramatic changes to some of publisher’s most pivotal storylines. Picking up What If? Avengers vs. X-Men #1, I knew I was going to get a variation on the battle between Marvel’s biggest teams but I wasn’t ready for what happens in this issue!

 

Just in case you didn’t get the original AvX story: The Phoenix Force was coming to Earth to bond with Hope Summers, the mutant messiah. Wolverine and the Avengers feared the worst and wanted to take Hope into custody. Cyclops and the X-Men believed the Phoenix and Hope could save the mutant race from extinction. One group saw death. The biggest Marvel story of 2012 is the inspiration for the return of What If? Avengers vs. X-Men was a huge event for the Marvel Universe!

The Master of Magnetism rises again! Director Bryan Singer revealed a first look at Michael Fassbender as Magneto on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past via Twitter.

The sequel is set in 1973 and based on the classic comic book epic by Chris Claremont in which X-Men from the future try to change the past. The casts of X-Men: First Class and the original X-Men trilogy will appear in this film so Sir Ian McKellen is the film as Magneto.

It sure looks like Fassbender is on the set of what could be Professor Xavier’s School.

UNCANNY X-MEN: Magneto’s Future and New Mutants

The revolution continues in this week’s Uncanny X-Men #3 as Cyclops attempts to recruit more new mutants while a traitor works against him.  Take a look at new art from Chris Bachalo courtesy Marvel.  Bachalo co-created some of the Generation X kids, the darker X-Men of the Age of Apocalypse, the “rogue” squad of X-Men led by Rogue during Mike Carey’s run and helped launch Wolverine and the X-Men with Jason Aaron. Bachalo’s creative synergy with the Children of the Atom continues with this new series.

UNCANNY X-MEN Burning Questions Updated!

  Uncanny X-Men #1 is out and we know the identity of the X-traitor (no spoilers here) so I thought it was a good time to revisit my burning questions!
