Iron Man #28 is a book to watch. Tony Stark is always one of Marvel’s top characters but signs point to a major status quo for the Armored Avenger.

With Iron Man writer Kieron Gillen leaving the title after shattering the Stark legacy in The Secret Origin of Tony Stark. Tony was adopted and learned he had a brother. Arno was the biological son of Howard and Maria Stark

With the Watcher dead and Marvel’s greatest secrets exploding in the minds of its heroes in Original Sin Tony is a target because of the secrets he kept. Captain America learned Tony and Dr. Strange mind wiped and kicked him out of the Illuminati in New Avengers. Iron Man is missing from the Marvel August previews. Writer Kieron Gillen announced via Tumblr he’s leaving the series.

“Basically, the situation is this. An enormous opportunity turned up.

We looked at my schedule. We realized that it just wasn’t going to work. The new book Marvel was offering was so utterly irresistible, I knew something had to give – and I realised that I was actually in a good place to bring my run to a conclusion. I realized the ORIGINAL SIN story would be a damn good climax for everything I’ve done, and between all I’ve put in play with the Mandarin War, Iron Metropolitan and where the HULK/IRON MAN story ends up, there’s a mass of toys for the next writer to play with. ORIGIN II Explores Wolverine’s Past

Origin II explores more of the tortured past of the young man who would grow up to be the X-Man known as Wolverine.

Writer Kieron Gillen (Uncanny X-Men, Iron Man, Young Avengers) talks about where his story will pick up 10 years after the events of Origin.

“The last we saw of James was disappearing into the woods with wolves at the end of Origin,” Gillen tells Marvel.com. “That’s where he’s been ever since. He runs with a family pack, and has completely removed himself from human civilization. He’s found a kind of peace. He’s found a kind of family. The first scene is him, with the pack, hunting. The opening is really raw; I talk about the period novel feel a lot, but I have a sort of ‘Jack London with modern research’ approach to the wolves. Hell, the whole structure does owe a little to ‘White Fang.’ Continue reading ORIGIN II Explores Wolverine’s Past

After a bombshell revelation that radically shocks Tony Stark – Kieron Gillen is starting a bold new story arc this week with artist Joe Bennett. The writer explains The Secret Origin of Tony Stark will lead into Iron Metropolitan:

“By the time we reach the end of Iron Man #17, Tony’s reeling,” Gillen told Marvel. “Hell, Tony’s reeling now. Basically, [‘Iron Metropolitan’] builds on everything he’s learned, everything he’s gained, everything. He went into space to get new ideas for new approaches. And you know what?
