Josh Brolin’s appearance as Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy was just the warm-up for the big cosmic battle ahead.

Marvel announced the list of Phase Three movies leading up to Avengers: The Infinity War Parts One & Two.

While promoting his role in Inherent Vice, Brolin summed up what will be the third and fourth Avengers movie:

“I love the idea of Thanos,” says Brolin. “…Ultimately, it’s Thanos against everyone. Why wouldn’t you do that?”Brolin told ComingSoon.net.

Possible details about how much Thanos will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy following news that Josh Brolin will be the voice of the Mad God of Titan.

 

The purple alien overlord (who appeared briefly in the post-credit scene in The Avengers) will appear in the first act of Guardians and communicate via hologram to the film’s chief villains Ronan (Lee Pace) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) according to Vulture. JOSH BROLIN As THANOS In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

Josh Brolin (Oldboy, No Country for Old Men) will play Thanos in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers 3 according to Latino Review and  Variety.

 

The Mad God of Titan is a major Marvel Comics super villain who appeared in the post-credits sequence of The Avengers as the mastermind behind the Chitauri and Loki’s invasion of Earth.

 

Two major characters in Guardians (Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Karen Gillan as Nebula) are the daughters of Thanos who it was almost assured the Mad God would appear in the film. It’s like Thanos will be a behind the scenes mastermind ultimately pulling the strings of the main bad guys Ronan (Lee Pace) and Nebula. STAR WARS Han Solo Speculation

A long time ago in a cinema far far away… 

 

Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw on the big screen in a theater. I was so young (Tusken Raiders freaked me out!) and I don’t think my parents understood everything going on in the movie but I fell in love with sci-fi, heroes, aliens and starships. Every time there are rumblings or confirmed reports of remasterings, prequels, sequels or spinoffs I sense a disturbance in The Force. I feel excitement and trepidation but I never stop believing. For me the characters will endure just like young Anakin and Aksoka will for a younger generation. I’ve been reluctant to report on the rumors and join in the casting calls and calls for or against spinoffs but like the dark side it’s just so tempting!

I felt compelled to share by thoughts on Han Solo, then now and forever:

Star Wars Sequel: I’m thrilled with the (rumors) that Harrison Ford may reprise his role as Han Solo in Star Wars Episode VII. I think Han probably married Leia, tried to be a good husband, father and leader in the New Republic but always yearned for freedom and adventure.
