Jada Pinkett Smith has signed on to return to Gotham according to TV Line.

It appeared the fallen mobster’s dead body was in the labs of Professor Hugo Strange in the Fall finale. The dead Theo Galavan was taken into Strange’s lab. Gotham reveals the origin stories of the Dark Knight’s greatest allies (Jim Gordon, Harvey Bullock, Renee Montoya, Sarah Essen) and enemies. The future Penguin, Riddler, Poison Ivy and Catwoman have been seen so far.

Producers created Fish Mooney just for the series. Jada Pinkett Smith brings the the sexy, ruthless and vicious mob boss to evil life. Fish runs the theater district under Carmine Falcone and made Oswald Cobblepot her slave until she had him “retired.” Smith and Robin Lord Taylor fittingly “stole the show” as the criminal mistress and misfit in the premiere episode. GOTHAM Season Preview

Gotham reveals the origins of Jim Gordon and Batman’s greatest enemies.

 

The premiere set the stage for Gordon’s friendship with young Bruce Wayne, partnership with Harvey Bullock, the beginnings of future super villains and the power struggle under Carmine Falcone and Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) and especially the twisted transformation of Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) into Penguin.

 

Fox shared an extended trailer for the series via YouTube.

 

A major Batman villain seizes the stage, plans for Arkham Asylum are revealed and more classic enemies are teased.

GOTHAM Feature With BEN MCKENZIE, DONAL LOGUE

Fox revealed the first featurette for the upcoming series Gotham.

 

Along with plans to reveal the early years of Catwoman, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Riddler – Executive Producer Bruno Heller teased the series will explore the back story of the Joker and Scarecrow.

 

Ben McKenzie will play James Gordon. Heller says when the series begins Gordon will have only been on the Gotham City Police for two weeks. The video includes interview with McKenzie, Donal Logue who played Detective Harvey Bullock, producer Danny Cannon and Jada Pinkett Smith who plays a villain created just for the series.

 

Along with Gordon’s partnership with Bullock, the series will focus on the rookie cop’s bond with a young Bruce Wayne.
