Marvel revealed the second trailer for THE DEFENDERS at San Diego Comic Con. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist must unite to save the city.
The Defenders unite against a classic Marvel bad guy, Martians vs. Martians, The return of Emma Frost and Batman’s dark secret that will rock the DC Universe. It’s all in these new comic book picks of the week:

2017 is looking like the Year of the Cage, Fist, Devil…and Jones, Jessica Jones. Luke Cage is smashing into a new comic book but it’s a different adventure for the Hero for Hire.
Marvel announced via CBR a new Luke Cage ongoing series by David Walker and artist Blake Nelson II with covers by Rahzzah. After relaunch Power Man and Iron Fist, Walker continues Cage’s story. Marvel unveiled the first trailer for the next Marvel/Netflix collaboration at New York City Comicon and revealed a major sci-fi icon is joining the cast of The Defenders.
First the trailer –
Finn Jones plays Danny Rand in Iron Fist, the final new series before Marvel Netflix heroes, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage will team up as The Defenders.
Rand is an American orphan adopted by mentors in the mystical city of K’un L’un where he grows up to become a martial arts master and gain the power of the Iron Fist. In the comics Iron Fist teamed up with Luke Cage (aka Power Man) as the Heroes for Hire. But that’s another Netflix series (fingers crossed!)
Marvel and Netflix shared first looks at their new series Marvel’s Luke Cage and Marvel’s Iron Fist and a teaser for Marvel’s Defenders at San Diego Comic Con.
Spinning off Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Mike Colter returns as Cage in his own series.
“After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable Cage becomes a fugitive who attempts to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But soon he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.”

Finn Jones will play Danny Rand, billionaire orphan raised in a mystical city who returns to reclaim his life and fight crime as Iron Fist. Finn Jones will star as Danny Rand in Marvel’s Iron Fist, the fourth collaboration between Marvel and Netflix which will lead to a team-up series with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist called The Defenders.
In comics Rand travels with his family to the mystical city of K’un L’un where he is adopted by the city’s ruler and trained in martial arts and gains the power of the Iron Fist. Rand goes back to America to reclaim his family’s empire and start a career as a costumed hero. Iron Fist became best friends and partners with Luke Cage in Heroes for Hire.
According to the official series description: Daniel Rand, who returns to New York City after being missing for years. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.
“Danny Rand is a very complicated character.
