New Avengers #8 is the final Prelude to Infinity with a cliffhanger that warps right into next month’s big event! But before I get ahead of myself here’s why this book rocks.

Inhumans – I love ’em. There’s an Inhumanity event coming and brand new series by Matt Fraction in 2014 but the Inhumans are front and center in the coming war with Thanos.

The silent Black Bolt finally gets to speak and the revelation with his beloved queen ends with the noise of a painful slap as the King confesses to Medusa. Mike Deodato and Frank Martin’s art on these scenes are spectacular and poignant. Continue reading Avengers at War

The Inhumans are one of my all-time favorite teams in comics and their leader, Black Bolt, is one of the most fascinating characters in comics. I was thrilled to learn the Inhumans will rise up to play a major role in the fight against Thanos during the Infinity event.

I’m excited to share the news from Marvel about Inhumanity! One of my favorite writers, plus one of the most dynamic artists will chronicle the next evolution of the Inhumans in a brand new series.

Matt Fraction (Fantastic Four, FF, Hawkeye) and Joe Madureira will launch Inhumans in 2014. Black Bolt, Medusa and the rest of the Kree creations have appeared in Fantastic Four and the Avengers with the occasional limited series. Continue reading INHUMANITY Hits Marvel

Aliens are descending on Earth. The Avengers must go into space to stop them. That’s when Thanos launches a sneak attack on the planet.

It’s all part of the cosmic showdown: Infinity! Jonathan Hickman has been building up to this war with Thanos since he took over Avengers and New Avengers.

As the the forces of Thanos attack Earth – the Inhumans will rise! One of my all-time favorite characters is Black Bolt. The King of the Inhumans has played a huge role in the Illuminati in New Avengers as Marvel’s biggest brains attempted to save Earth with the Infinity Gauntlet. Continue reading Inhumans in INFINITY

INHUMANS in Avengers or Fantastic Four Movie?

Fans are wondering about the cinematic debut of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Joss Whedon will use the brother and sister in Avengers 2 for Marvel/Disney. Bryan Singer has cast Evan Peters as Quicksilver in X-Men Days of Future Past. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are the children of Magneto created as villains in the X-Men comics but went on to become longtime members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

The next Disney vs. Fox characters in question could be The Inhumans. Disney controls the Avengers. Fox controls film rights to The Fantastic Four which is currently being rebooted.

This super family Continue reading INHUMANS in Avengers or Fantastic Four Movie?

Infinity is the event Jonathan Hickman has been building up to since he relaunched Avengers and New Avengers. Check out this Infinity #1 variant cover by Marko Djurdjevic!

It will be the cosmic rematch of the new century as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (and all the Marvel heroes) take on Thanos (also known as the big purple bad guy as the end of The Avengers movie.)

But if you look you’ll see new characters introduced from Hickman’s run including Ex Nihilo, the villain from Avengers #1 and the new Starbrand. How is Ex Nihilo connected to the Mad God of Titan?
