A new science fiction comic book series from Skybound blasts off this summer taking a young writer’s career into a higher orbit.
Horizon by Brandon Thomas with artists Juan Gedeon and Frank Martin was one of several new creator-owned projects announced at Image Expo in Seattle. We caught up with Thomas at Emerald City Comicon to talk about the origin of the book, his journey to this big moment and what fans can expect from his book.

Image Comics and ReedPOP teamed up to bring Image Expo for the first time to kick-off the Emerald City Comicon (ECCC) in Seattle on at the Showbox Market theater.

Image Comics returns Emerald City Comicon in a big way bringing fan-favorite creators. Following Image Expo in Seattle today, Image creators will then appear at ECCC Thursday, April 7 through Sunday, April 10 with creator-owned panels and signing events.

Emerald City Comicon 2016 is just one week away. Tens of thousands of fans gather in Seattle for the biggest pop culture celebrating in the Pacific Northwest. This year ECCC expands to a fourth day of comics, cosplay, gaming and more. The 14th Edition of ECC is kicking off in true Seattle style with two guys who could rock a superhero uniform: Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman and Bobby Wagner. Six fans will compete on Sherman and Wagner’s teams in a ECCC Black Ops 3 Open on day one.
Image Comics revealed huge roster of new creator-owned projects coming this year at Image Expo 2015 in San Francisco. Brian K.
