The Wolverine is THE Wolverine movie fans have craved. Director James Mangold takes the elements of the classic Chris Claremont story to let Hugh Jackman give his best performance yet as the fan favorite X-Man.

 

Logan is mourning the loss of Jean Grey (after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand) living as a loner in the woods, renouncing violence and haunted by dreams of his painful past. Logan is drawn out of isolation to reunite with the man who’s life he once saved. The young soldier is now a billionaire on the edge of death and he wants to give Logan the “gift” of death – a chance to end his eternal suffering and become a normal man. THE WOLVERINE is almost here! Hugh Jackman reprises his role as the fan-favorite X-Man in a new film directed by James Mangold. The movie is based on the Chris Claremont story of Logan’s journey to Japan where he fell in love with Lady Mariko, clashed with Clan Yashida and… killed a lot of ninjas!

WOLVERINE and His Lethal Ladies!

Hugh Jackman fights ninjas, his haunted past and the Silver Samurai in The Wolverine. The X-Man has his claws full with three gorgeous and dangerous women, too! IGN shared these new character posters of Logan, Mariko, Viper and Yukio plus the actor listed as Shingen, head of Clan Yashida.

Wolverine Ria  Yukio is the wild Ronin who fought and slept with Wolverine and inspired Storm to explore her wild side and get a Mohawk! Rila Fukushima brings the character to the big screen in The Wolverine.

Yukio works as a bodyguard for Clan Yashida and is sent to bring Logan to Japan for a reunion with a man he once saved in World War II with an offer the X-Man can’t refuse.
