Mystique is tied to one of the big new mysteries in Cullen Bunn’s new Uncanny X-Men series.

We may have been given a huge clue in this week’s second issue.

Terrigen Mists are killing mutants and sterilizing genes. The mutant race is on the fast track to extinction thanks to the genetic phenomenon that’s creating new Inhumans.

Storm’s team is rescuing mutants from the Mists and providing them safety in X-Haven. Magneto is leading his own team with a very pro-active mission to save mutants from new enemies.

A corporation is profiting from the crisis by providing a different kind of safe haven to mutants for a price. Mutants agree to be frozen in suspended animation until there’s a cure or the Terrigen is gone.

Magneto’s team broke the mutants out of of the transports while Mystique is investigating the Someday corporation in a different way…but who is she working for? Continue reading MYSTIQUE’S X-MEN MYSTERY

Spoiler Warning:

This story contains plot details of X-Men: Days of Future Past so you may not want to continue reading if you have not seen the new film.

Is this the cinematic end of Miss Emma Frost?

Emma appeared briefly in X-Men: Origins: Wolverine as the captured sister of Kayla (aka Silver Fox) played by Lynn Collins. We can assume it was Emma since she was icy blonde and could transform into diamond. The infamous Emma Frost of the Hellfire Club era was played by January Jones in X-Men: First Class. This was absolutely the telepath who could transform into diamond and was the lover of Sebastian Shaw.

In X-Men: Days of Future Past Mystique learns that Emma died as a prisoner of Bolivar Trask along with some other characters from First Class.

Does that mean, “No More Emma” in future X-Men movies? Continue reading X-MEN: EMMA FROST OF FUTURE PAST
