MARVEL RAISES HELLCAT! New Comic Book

Marvel is raising Hell-cat!

Patsy Walker, the former Avenger and Defender known as Hellcat is poised to strike in a major comeback.

Rachael Taylor will play Patsy Walker on the upcoming Marvel Netflix series AKA Jessica Jones with Krysten Ritter as the title character, a former superhero turned private detective.

Marvel announced the hero will star in Patsy Walker: AKA Hellcat via Yahoo. The new comic book is packed with female power courtesy writer Kate Leth (Adventure Time, Fraggle Rock) and artist Brittney Williams. Continue reading MARVEL RAISES HELLCAT! New Comic Book

RACHAEL TAYLOR Joins AKA JESSICA JONES

Marvel and Netflix announced Rachael Taylor will join the upcoming AKA Jessica Jones series.

Taylor will play Patricia “Trish” Walker described as “a syndicated radio talk show host, former model and child TV star known to her adoring fans as “Patsy” Walker. As Jessica Jones’ closest friend, Trish helps her embark on the most dangerous case of Jessica’s career.”

The character of Patsy Walker goes back to before Marvel was Marvel in Miss America Magazine, and later in comics she became costumed crime fighter known as Hellcat.

Hellcat was briefly an Avenger, a Defender, Marvel Divas and recently Hellcat was working as an investigator for Jennifer Walters in She-Hulk but we’re always asking Marvel to raise Hellcat to a bigger role in comics. Continue reading RACHAEL TAYLOR Joins AKA JESSICA JONES

We’re taking National Cat Day to sing the purr-aises of Patsy Walker aka Hellcat!
You may have picked up on our love for feline themed hero.

Back when Marvel started a new Defenders book, then a Fearless Defenders book – I hoped for a Hellcat appearance. Writer Cullen Bunn did grant this geek his wish in the cancelled-too-soon Fearless Defenders.

Charles Soule made Hellcat part of Jennifer Walters team in the now cancelled She-Hulk series.

Raising Hellcat in FEARLESS DEFENDERS

  Valkyrie and Misty Knight will lead a brand new Fearless Defenders. The new Marvel Now book by Cullen Bunn and Will Sliney will feature an all-female team. Earlier this week Bunn confirmed Dani Moonstar and a new character named Hippolyta will join the team.

  As you may have read before on here I’m a huge fan of Valkyrie’s old teammate from the 1970’s Defenders and I have wanted Marvel to raise Hellcat! This week on Twitter @Marvel and @cullenbunn asked fans who we hope Valkyrie recruits? Yours truly, ComicsBlendWill of course responded Hellcat! Bunn’s response: “You won’t have long to wait.”
