Harley Quinn #11
Joker Loves Harley begins! The past is haunting Harley. Reminders of her time with “Mistah J” are popping up unexpectedly. Coincidence or conspiracy? After the massive DC Rebirth launch, how does DC Comics follow it up?
Justice League vs. Suicide Squad.
DC Entertainment announced its first major event of Rebirth: the Justice League versus the Suicide Squad. The two-month event will pit DC’s two big super-teams against each other in a six-issue weekly miniseries.
It begins with a special prelude in SUICIDE SQUAD #8, and with issues of SUICIDE SQUAD (#9 and #10) and JUSTICE LEAGUE (#12 and #13) serving as tie-ins during January.
The prelude issue sets the stage for issues #1 and #2 of JUSTICE LEAGUE VS. SUICIDE SQUAD, written by Joshua Williamson (THE FLASH, Vertigo’s FROSTBITE) with art by Jason Fabok (JUSTICE LEAGUE: DARKSEID WAR) and Tony S. Daniel (JUSTICE LEAGUE, DEATHSTROKE). Issues #3 through #6 debut weekly throughout January, along with the special tie-in issues of SUICIDE SQUAD written by Rob Williams and JUSTICE LEAGUE by guest writer Tim Seeley (NIGHTWING, GRAYSON).
Let the speculation begin! Why does it seem like Harley Quinn and Batman (with Deadshot’s cybernetic eye) seem to be the last two standing in this preview art? Continue reading JUSTICE LEAGUE VS SUICIDE SQUAD
Get ready to get down, dirty and dangerous as Warner Brothers unleashes the worst heroes ever in Suicide Squad this Friday.
A new Joker and the motion picture debut of other classic Batman and Flash villains will blitz across the big screens with director David Ayer running the asylum and revving up the DC Comics film franchise.
But who’s who? Where are the good guys? What this could mean for the future of DC movies?
If you’re a veteran comics fan or new to the dark side of DC, here’s our Suicide Squad for Virgins:
The version of the team that inspired the movie was conceived by a trio of legends: writer John Ostrander with writer Len Wein and artist John Byrne.
The team’s first mission was against Brimstone, an elemental creature unleashed by Darkseid who was plotting to conquer Earth. The Justice League film villain is said to be Steppenwolf, Darkseid’s ruthless general. Given the comic book canon connections, could the Squad and League team up in a future movie in the war against Darkseid? (Exciting but let’s get back to the new movie!)
Welcome to an incredible week of new comics on the way including the new creation of Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, Torchwood returns with John Barrowman telling Captain Jack’s new adventures plus a triple shot of Harley Quinn!
