The journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens is nearly complete.

This week saw the arrival of the third and final trailer for the next chapter in the saga that introduces new heroes and villains with old friends.

It started with “An Awakening” then “Chewie, We’re Home” and now “The Force is Calling to You” and in just months fans will go warp speed.

The team behind The Lego Movie will helm a tale of Han Solo’s early days.

StarWars.com announced the next adventure in the Anthology series of Star Wars films will be directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord. The is the dio behind The LEGO Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street. Among the most sought-after filmmakers working today, the two have proven a formidable duo on the multiple films they’ve collaborated on and are looking forward to applying their unique creative chemistry to the Star Wars universe. The Force is strong in comic book stores this week!

A long time ago with a publisher that’s very different from what it is now…there were Star Wars comics.

Decades later, Marvel is owned by Disney, Lucasfilm is owned by Disney.

Star Wars Marvel comics are here. The homecoming and three new comic books were announced at San Diego Comic Con last year.

Star Wars #1 by Jason Aaron (Wolverine and the X-Men) and John Cassaday (Astonishing X-Men) arrives this week. The book will be set after the destruction of the first Death Star. The costumes of STAR WARS are coming to a museum not far away and very soon.

 

The Smithsonian Exhibition Exploring the Power of Star Wars™ Costumes will begins a national tour January 2015 at Seattle’s EMP Museum.
Iconic costumes from “a galaxy far, far away” are presented in the Smithsonian traveling exhibition, Rebel, Jedi, Princess, Queen: Star Wars™ and the Power of Costume. The Star Wars before Star Wars!

 

Dark Horse Comics expands it’s Star Wars comic book universe this with an adaptation of George Lucas’s original, pre-edits screenplay for Star Wars in an eight part series called The Star Wars kicking off this week.

 

Three years before the classic 1977 film, George Lucas put down on paper his first story set in a galaxy far, far away. Harrison Ford Storms Off Jimmy Kimmel Over STAR WARS

Like the Millennium Falcon speeding through an asteroid field – Harrison Ford dodged Star Wars sequel questions from “devoted” fans in the audience at Jimmy Kimmel Live. Ford was promoting his new film 42 the Jackie Robinson story but Jimmy’s plan to stage a Star Wars reunion backfired and Ford left the set.
