The Templar Guardians has a mission for Kyle Rayner as new blood takes over another Green Lantern book this week. Writer Justin Jordan and artist Brad Walker take over Green Lantern: New Guardians #21. This week marks an Emerald Dawn for the Green Lantern family of books with new blood, new creative teams and new threats!

It all kicks off in the flagship book out this week:

A new beginning for Hal Jordan begins in Green Lantern #21 by new creative team: Robert Venditti and Billy Tan.

Jordan is now the leader of the Green Lantern Corps! How will the hero lead the most hated and feared group in the universe?

Plus, a new villain is on the way – the Relic!

Venditti tells MTV GEEK, he’ll “tie together every Lantern of every color that has ever appeared in any comic book ever.”

Geoff Johns Green Lantern Era Ending

The Emerald twilight is coming! Geoff Johns and Doug Manke will conclude what should rightfully be hailed as the modern Green Lantern Saga with a huge 64-page Green Lantern #20 this May. It all began with Green Lantern: Rebirth #1.

When you think of iconic creator/character marriages that made comic book history you must include Geoff Johns and Green Lantern!

Here’s what Johns said about the conclusion on The Source:

As every storyline is coming to a head, it feels like the right time. The book is still doing great. The characters are as vibrant as ever. Let’s go out how we started – on a high note.
