Benicio Del Toro (Sin City) has joined Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and signed a deal to appear in several Marvel films according to Deadline. James Gunn is directing the film starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista as the heroes of the film based on the Marvel Comic. Glenn Close will play the leader of the Nova Corp (an intergalactic police force) and Lee Pace and Karen Gillan (Doctor Who) are playing villains. A Doctor Who companion is leaping to the big screen! Karen Gillan (Amy Pond of Doctor Who) is joining the cast of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy according to The Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision. She is reportedly playing the villain.

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista are playing Star-Lord, Gamora and Drax. Glenn Close recently joined as a leader of the Nova Corp (an intergalactic police force.)

Lee Pace is playing a villain rumored to be the Collector.

Glenn Close in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

If Samuel L. Jackson is the ultimate law enforcement authority on Earth as Nick Fury in The Avengers then Glenn Close could be his counterpart…in outer space!

The acclaimed actress (Damages, Fatal Attraction) is the front runner for a major role in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy according to Deadline. The story claims Close would play a leader in the Nova Corps, an intergalactic police force.

Guardians of the Galaxy is the story of Peter Quill (alien father, human mother) who becomes Star-Lord and leads a team of aliens in space faring adventures. If the presence of the Nova Corps is true this could mean Marvel is planning a film based on the Nova comic book.

Angela Powers Up Guardians of the Galaxy #5

The Age of Ultron finale will unleash a powerful new force into the Marvel Universe. Angela (a co-creation of Neil Gaiman in Todd McFarlane’s Spawn series) will be introduced in Age of Ultron #10.

Gaiman joins Brian Michael Bendis on Guardians of the Galaxy #5 which picks up Angela’s adventures in the Marvel Universe. Earlier we saw Joe Quesada’s redesign of Angela and now Marvel is sharing Sara Pichelli’s cover to Guardians of the Galaxy #5 which arrives July 24th.

Will Angela be an ally or enemy of Star-Lord and his crew? Will Angela have a role in Infinity?

Big changes are coming to the Marvel Universe in the aftermath of Age of Ultron! The biggest surprise is the Marvel debut of a classic character from the Image mythos. Now we see her!

Lee Pace is in final talks to play the villain in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy according to The Wrap.

Pace (Pushing Daisies, Lincoln, The Hobbit, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn) was reportedly a contender for the lead role of Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord) that will be played by Chris Pratt.

Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead) has joined the cast of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy according to Deadline. Rooker is playing Yondu. This raises a lot of questions.
