The first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer debuts during Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight but Marvel shared a quick teaser packed with first looks at the cast:

 

Chris Pratt is Peter Quill – the human who will become known as Star-Lord, who leads a team of alien refugees:  Zoe Saldana is the green-skinned alien, Gamora. Dave Bautista is Drax the Destroyer. Bradley Cooper is the voice of Rocket Raccoon. Vin Diesel is the voice of Groot, the living tree.  The movie will also introduce classic Marvel cosmic concepts and characters like The Collector, the Nova Corps and the Kree.

CHRIS PRATT on STAR-LORD in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

The first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer debuts during Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night and Marvel revealed more about the plot in a USA Today story.

 

Chris Pratt is Peter Quill – the human who will become known as Star-Lord. Zoe Saldana is the green-skinned alien, Gamora. Dave Bautista is Drax. Bradley Cooper is the voice of Rocket Raccoon. Vin Diesel is the voice of Groot, the living tree. The team of unlikely heroes unites in a space prison and will become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – including Thanos – last seen in The Avengers. Guardians of the Galaxy blasts into cinemas this summer but is Marvel already working on a sequel?

 

An untitled sequel is in the works for 2016 according to JBlo.

 

Chris Pratt as Star-Lord leads a team of aliens played by Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. The James Gunn directed movie will introduce the Nova Corps, the Kree Empire, Nebula the space pirate and the Collector. Ronan the Accuser of the Kree is said to be the main villain. 1. Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier

 

I sighed when Bucky’s solo series ended last year but Captain America’s sidekick turned deadly enemy turned ally will have a huge 2014.

On the big screen Sebastian Stan reprises his role as Bucky in Captain America: The Winter Soldier coming April 4. The Star-Spangled Avenger’s sequel is based on my all-time favorite Cap stories by Ed Brubaker.

Bucky co-stars in the All-New Invaders by James Robinson. The World War II heroes reunite against the Kree in the upcoming book.
