Han Solo’s co-pilot gets the spotlight in his own comic book series and he’s getting his own new sidekick.

It was all part of the huge news for Star Wars and Chewie fans during Comic-Con. The other was seeing Peter Mayhew in and out of costume in a new Star Wars: The Force Awakens reel.

Marvel announced a Star Wars:  Chewbacca limited series by Gerry Duggan and Phil Noto. Chewbacca crash lands on a strange new planet for his own adventure and make new allies while dodging the Empire.

Marvel is killing off Deadpool?

The Merc With a Mouth is enjoying an incredible ride: he got married in 2014, a solo movie is green lighted for 2016 and the hero is starring in multiple series.

But popularity didn’t stop the Death of Wolverine did it?

Marvel revealed Deadpool will die and Deadpool #250 will be the final issue as revealed exclusively on Nerdist.com.

Gerry Duggan kicked off his Hulk run by unleashing a new persona from within the Green Goliath.

Doc Green is ready for SMASH the Marvel Universe with his enhanced muscles and mind.

In Hulk #5 Duggan and artist Mark Waid introduced an Extremis enhanced Hulk who may be smarter than Bruce Banner and in complete control of his powerhouse body.

Doc Green may remind you of the Hulk when he ran the Pantheon. Bruce Banner was in control of the Hulk’s body in that run by Peter David that also introduced the grey, cunning “Joe Fix-it” persona.

On the final day of San Diego Comic Con Marvel announced more new comics about an X-Man’s final days on Earth.

 

From the Next Big Thing panel:

 

Death of Wolverine writer Charles Soule said Reed Richards will advise Logan to stop popping the claws now that the healing factor is gone.

The Merc With a Mouth is getting hitched! After Wade Wilson’s war with S.H.I.E.L.D. wraps up he’s walking down the aisle in April.

 

“Well, we do try to look at our DEADPOOL as one toboggan ride down a mountain, albeit without any brakes and our toboggan is on fire, but the answer is fairly simple: after “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly,” Deadpool was devastated, and he [doesn’t] do well in the next arc either.
