A real world phenomenon is part of the inspiration for G. Willow Wilson’s upcoming X-Men arc guest starring Gambit.

Storm, Psylocke, Monet and Rachel Grey investigate a mysterious event in The Burning World starting in X-Men #23.

This will be a four-part arc by  Ms. Marvel writer Wilson and artist Roland Boschi.

Will the powerful mutants be outmatched against what might be a natural phenomenon and how will a mutant like Storm react to this mysterious enemy. Channing Tatum is reportedly all signed up to star as Remy LeBeau in a Gambit solo movie for Fox.

With Channing Tatum’s star power, Remy Lebeau rises to the top of the deck when it comes to X-Men spinoff films.

Who is Gambit? What is his story? How will it impact the X-Men movie franchise?

Remy is a Cajun thief from New Orleans with a shady past who joined the X-Men. Will Remy steal his way into X-Men: Apocalypse?

Remy was an orphan adopted by the Thieves Guild of New Orleans. He’s skilled with a bow staff and his mutant power is to charge up kinetic energy in any object. His favorite and signature move is to charge up a deck of playing cards and deal out them out like bombs.

GAMBIT Joins All Female X-MEN Book

Announced at New York Comic Con – G. Willow Wilson will take on the all-female X-Men book.

 

The Ms. Marvel writer begins a four-part arc with X-Men #23 in January called The Burning World.

 

There’s a surprise addition to the cast of the all-female team book.

Channing Tatum will play Gambit.

X-Fans – I think we have a confirmation.

 

Tatum has stated Gambit is his favorite X-Man and how much he’d like to play him.

 

After several rounds of teasing and much like the charming mutant thief would do…the story seems to be confirmed.

ROGUE In X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Fans were upset with news Anna Paquin had been cut from X-Men: Days of Future Past. According to Vulture – Paquin (as Rogue) was never completely cut from the sequel and it pivotal to a major moment in the plot of the time travel story.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is coming fast on the horizon. X-Men: Apocalypse is slated for 2016. The Wolverine sequel is clawing into theaters after that. Producers have started talking the possibilities of more X-Men solo spinoff  movies including Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique.

 

The fuel to a Gambit movie fire are lit up again after the MTV Movie Awards. Channing Tatum told MTV he’s met with Producer Lauren Schuler Donner and again expressed his love for Remy Labeau, the mutant played by Taylor Kitsch in X-Men: Origins: Wolverine.
