Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) made her first official comic book convention appearance at Emerald City Comicon – the sold-out event in Seattle.

Atwell inspired an army of Peggy Carter cosplayers, huge lines for photos, autographs and a full house for her panel.

“It was thanks to the fans, really, because I had no expectations that it would go any further than the first Captain America film,” Atwell said about the fan enthusiasm for Peggy that led to the recent series. VALIANT Launches 25TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR At EMERALD CITY COMICON

Valiant is back at Emerald City Comicon in a big way. The publisher is kicking off a 25th Anniversary Convention Tour in Seattle to celebrate history and what’s next with major announcements expected.

From This Friday, March 27th through Sunday, March 29th, Valiant welcomes fans and new readers at the Washington State Convention Center for a weekend packed with programming, special guests, and ECCC 2015 exclusives that can’t be found anywhere else.

Valiant will be at Booth #1803 all weekend long to revisit 25 years of Valiant history with a complete collection of trade paperbacks and hardcovers featuring the indelible heroes, volatile villains, and world-class creators that shaped Valiant into one of the most celebrated publishers in comics history. Emerald City Comicon fans will get a chance to see not one but two Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at this year’s big event.

Emerald City Comicon announced Chloe Bennet will join the cast of celebrity guests including Clark Gregg (aka Director Phil Coulson) at the Pacific Northwest pop culture event.

Bennet plays Agent Skye on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but comics fanboys and girls now know she’s really Daisy Johnson aka Quake. When the series returns we’ll know more about Skye’s new super powers and that she may be the first Inhuman to appear in the Marvel Cinematic/TV Universe. UPDATE:

Due to filming conflicts Barracin can no longer attend. ECCC recruited fellow Firefly star Jewel Staite to appear at the Seattle event.

Emerald City Comicon recruits two stars from the Whedonverse. Morena Baccarin played Inara on Firefly then in the film Serenity.Baccarin went on to roles on V, Stargate S.G. One and the acclaimed Emmy winning drama Homeland.

 

Baccarin is not just a sci-fi icon but has an incredible list of voice roles playing iconic comic book characters including Talia Al Ghul, Cheetah and Black Canary.
