Major Marvel news as a Guardian of the Galaxy goes solo with wrestling superstar turned up and coming comic book writer.

One of the biggest announcements from Marvel at C2E2 was CM Punk writing a brand new solo series starring Drax.

The wrestling and mixed martial arts star made his comic debut with a Thor annual earlier this year. CM Punk will get in the ring to chronicle what Drax the Destroyer does when he’s not hanging with the Guardians in the first solo series for the alien warrior. Guardians introduces Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora and Groot as the rogues turned rebel heroes against the evil of Thanos, Ronan, Nebula. The James Gunn directed film sets the stage for future cosmic conflict by introducing the Nova Corps including Rhomann Dey and The Collector of The Elders of The Universe.

What other aliens races could appear in future Guardians or Avengers sequel? These are the most enigmatic aliens this geek wants to see invade: Continue reading GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Aliens For Your Consideration

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #14 Review

Guardians of the Galaxy #14 features three stories that might make you wish for three Guardians books and inspire sequel dreams for the movie that isn’t even out yet.
The double-sized anniversary issue marks the 100th issue starring the cosmic Avengers. In the marquee story by writer Brian Michael Bendis and new artist Nick Bradshaw (Wolverine and the X-Men) with Jason Masters and Todd Nauck, three arcs act like a spiral star converging into a big cliffhanger.

Flash Thompson aka Agent Venom is the new envoy from the Avengers. Drax takes Flash on a rite of passage in a seedy galactic underbelly that Greedo or Han Solo would feel right at home in. I’m intrigued at how the aliens react to seeing the earth man bonded to the infamous symbiote. Continue reading GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #14 Review

Vin Diesel as Vision in Avengers Sequel?

Avengers Origins: Vision courtesy Marvel.

This is just a rumor…

Vin Diesel as the Vision in Avengers 2? Images of the the android have been posted on the actor’s Facebook page according to ComicBook.com which has fans and bloggers speculating so I thought I’d sound off.

I can picture Diesel as Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy…maybe even as Thanos.

After seeing Prometheus my vision for the Vision is Michael Fassbender.

I’m just glad it’s in Joss Whedon’s hands.
