Marvel may have conjured up an actor to play Wong in Doctor Strange.
Benedict Wong (The Martian, Prometheus, Moon, Sunshine) has been cast according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Wong (the character) is the Doctor’s trusted sidekick who watches over his physical body when he is in astral form, watches over his home, is a healer, martial arts master and assists in occult rituals. Marvel makes it official!
The rumors are true: Mads Mikkelsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams and Tilda Swinton are joining Benedict Cumberbatch for the big screen debut of Doctor Strange.
Ejiofor is rumored to playing Baron Mordo while Swinton is The Ancient One.

Marvel Studios announced today that production has begun on “Doctor Strange,” starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams and Michael Stuhlbarg with Mads Mikkelsen and Academy Award® winner Tilda Swinton. The film, which opens in U.S. theaters on November 4, 2016, is directed by Scott Derrickson. Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave, Serenity) is playing Baron Mordo in Marvel’s Doctor Strange according to Deadline.
