“During Villains Month, witness an untold tale of The Joker that takes place before any of the #1 issues in DC COMICS-THE NEW 52. Written by Andy Kubert and illustrated by Andy Clarke, this unique one-shot will not only hint at a possible origin for The Joker, but will also feature the origin of a classic Batman villain who folks might not suspect as having ties to the Clown Prince of Crime.” Continue reading The Joker’s Origin in Villains Month?
It’s hard being the “other half” to a superhero but Barry Allen is giving Iris a chance to suit up and catch up in this DC Comics preview from Editor Bob Harras for Flash #22:
“If you’ve been reading The Flash , you know that the current story arc features a mysterious “Speed Force killer.” Well, in order to keep his good friend safe from this elusive murderer, Barry must find a way to make Iris undetectable to whoever is committing these crimes. Now DC Comics is sharing a further sneak peek inside this issue by checking out some of Daniel Sampere’s stunning interior pages.
These pages show “Pride and Envy (two of the Seven Deadly Sins) scheming, Pandora and her weaponsmith buddy gearing up for battle with the Secret Society, and the beginning of that battle – where she’s going to be facing Vandal Savage, Giganta, and Signalman. But what’s the connection between Pandora and the Secret Society? And why are they so desperate to get their hands on the box?”
“All I will say is that nobody is safe from her,” series writer Ray Fawkes recently said about his protagonist to Cosmic Book News. “She — and, arguably, the whole world — has suffered for millennia thanks to the crime she’s been blamed for, and she thinks she’s found a way to fix everything. The stakes are so high that there’s nobody she won’t consider making use of, if necessary – and there’s nobody she won’t consider wiping out if they get in her way.”
