DC WEEK OF SNEAK PEEKS REVEALED

DC Comics is unleashing 24 new books and new story arcs starting in June but fans will get first looks as Convergence wraps up.

Beginning with the May issues of the miniseries, DC will include 8-page “sneak peeks” at the new and continuing titles arriving in June. The publisher says this isn’t excerpted content, but “all new, standalone stories that give a glimpse of what fans can expect after Convergence.”

With official descriptions from DC Comics, here’s the lineup for the first week of sneak peeks: May 6th

BATGIRL Team In DC CHAMPIONS OF JUSTICE at ECCC

DC Comics brought out the star power behind recent breakout hits at the DC Champions of Justice panel at Emerald City Comicon.

Moderator Hank Kanalz asked Batgirl creative team Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher and Babs Tarr about how they came together.

Stewart was committed to Fight Club 2 and for co-writer, the only choice was longtime friend Brenden Fletcher. For art Stewart wanted a woman and recruited Tarr after seeing her on Tumblr. She had never drawn sequential pages before but had “sass” needed for their vision. Tarr revealed how for a long time she didn’t know the DC mystery project was Batgirl and she’s taking on sole art duties with issue 41 in June. Wonder Woman is armored and covered up while Superman is showing more skin in more casual style.

This Superman/Wonder Woman #18 cover by Paulo Siqueira first revealed on Uproxx confirms the Man of Steel’s new look and hairstyle after a glimpse of it earlier this week.

After months of speculating the future of Robin is definitely more exiting and maybe a little more clear after DC Comics big announcement.

After all DC books take a break in April and May for the Convergence event, 24 new books will launch including Robin, Son of Batman and We Are Robin in June. We also know which books are not coming back after hiatus including Batman and Robin. Writer Peter J.
