WOLVERINE KISSES STORM in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Wolverine kissed Storm and they became lovers in the comic books.

Logan and Ororo shared an attraction in the X-Men movies but his heart belonged to Jean Grey.

X-MEN APOCALYPSE Embraces 1980’s

X-Men: First Class was set in the 1960’s.

X-Men: Days of Future Past got groovy in the 1970’s.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be totally 1980’s.

Producer Simon Kinberg says he and director Bryan Singer are enjoying writing the sequel with that time period.

“We’re having a lot of fun with the idea of the 80s. It’s a decade that Bryan and I both grew up in and so the music, the style, the aesthetic, the legacy of 80s movies is something we’re really having fun with,” Kinberg told Collider. Continue reading X-MEN APOCALYPSE Embraces 1980’s

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST ROGUE Cut

An extended version of X-Men: Days of Future Past is coming in early 2015 with ten minutes of extra footage added including scenes with Anna Paquin as Rogue.

The film united the cast of the first trilogy with the First Class cast and introducing brand new mutants.

A sequence featuring the fan-favorite was cut from the final theatrical version of the sequel except for a brief cameo.

“It’s a big chunk, a substantial part of the movie,” writer/producer Simon Kinberg told Variety. “We want to give (fans) the fullest picture of the film — behind the camera, and in front of it,” with the “Rogue Cut” and provide “more of the process we went through” to make the film. BRYAN SINGER Confirmed To Direct X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Bryan Singer will return to direct X-Men: Apocalypse and three favorite team members will be recast.

Singer signed on with Fox for the 2016 release according to Deadline and from this synopsis, fans can look forward to seeing younger versions of Scott Summers, Jean Grey and Storm.
The sequel is being scripted by Simon Kinberg from a story written by Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Extended Cut 2015

Producers are moving ahead with X-Men: Apocalypse for 2016 but are apparently not finished with X-Men: Days of Future Past.

News that may thrill fans of the original cast.

Fox will release a new extended cut of X-Men: Days of Future Past based on Tweets from Producer Lauren Schuler Donner and a Fox Marketing Executive.The new cut will arrive in 2015 and feature the subplot featuring Rogue (Anna Paquin) that was cut from the original film and more deleted scenes. NEW MUTANTS In X-MEN APOCALYPSE? For Your Consideration

X-Men: Days of Future Past introduced two new mutants from the New Mutants era to the cinematic Children of the Atom. With the news that X-Men: Apocalypse will be set in 1983 I couldn’t help but think of popular mutants born in the 80’s.

In Days of Future Past, Sunspot (Adan Canto) got to use his solar energy powers against the Sentinels. Producers chose to amp the Brazilian mutant’s power beyond just super strength. Roberto Da Costa could fly and blast heat at the relentless robots. Sunspot was one of the founding members of the New Mutants.

Warpath (Boo Boo Stewart) used his tracking ability, super strength and fighting skills with big — knives against the Sentinels. Warpath actually started out as a Hellion (a student of Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club.) James Proudstar blamed Professor X for his older brother’s death and joined the Hellions in his quest for revenge by taking his brother’s X-Men code-name Thunderbird. James would later reform and join Cable’s original X-Force then become an official X-Man.
