Brian Michael Bendis is leaving the X-Men franchise but staying a Marvel exclusive so fans are waiting to see what he will do next.

Before the milestone Uncanny X-Men #600 (the final issue of the Bendis run) the mutants have to survive The Black Vortex crossover and the shocking time twists of The Last Will and Testament of Charles Xavier.

We don’t want to spoil the current issues but if you’ve been reading it seems Cyclops is paying for his actions in Avengers vs. X-Men when he killed the Professor X.

“Issue #31 is going to be the issue that rattles people before we get to #600. Continue reading BENDIS on BEAST, CYCLOPS in X-MEN final issues

Every holiday season I love sharing special Christmas issues of the X-Men.

This year’s holiday flashback comes the same week a key issue that changes the Children of the Atom.

Uncanny X-Men #29 is a “turning point” for the mutants and a moment Brian Michael Bendis has been building up to since he took over Uncanny and launched All-New X-Men and revealed the legacy of the late Professor Charles Xavier.

The bitterly divided mutant factions united for the Last Will and Testament of Xavier this year and coped with the death of Wolverine.

So let’s reflect on moments of the past when the X-Men came together to celebrate the holidays and their extended family. Continue reading HAPPY X-MEN HOLIDAYS

Marvel gave something for every Cyclops fan thanks to Brian Michael Bendis and Greg Rucka in 2014.

In Uncanny X-Men it’s the Scott Summers you love to hate or staunchly declare “Cyke is Right” as he leads the mutant revolution and confronts his father figure’s big secret in the Last Will and Testament of Charles Xavier.

In All-New X-Men we have the young Scott Summers who never lost Jean, Madelyne, Nathan or killed Professor X.  After a cosmic crossover with Guardians of the Galaxy, young Cyclops really blasted off literally. Continue reading YOUNG CYCLOPS is STARSTRUCK

What’s Cyclops doing on the cover of Avengers #38?

What until see inside!

The X-Men Revolution leader is the wild card in the latest chapter of Time Runs Out set in the near future before Secret Wars.

But with writer Jonathan Hickman there are no wild cards in his elaborately plotted epic that began with Avengers World and building up the comics event of 2015.

While the Avengers been battling the Builders, Thanos and A.I.M. – the Illuminati (Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Black Bolt, Beast, Namor) have committed unheroic acts (brainwashed Steve Rogers, destroy other planets) to save Earth from incusions from other Earths in the Marvel multiverse. The action jumped into near future with heroes vs. heroes, unholy alliances and an array of classic Marvel weapons like the Ultimate Nullifier.
