Cable and X-Force vs. Uncanny Avengers!

The final showdown happens in Cable and X-Force #14.

Hope may be the only one to save her adoptive father.

Writer Dennis Hopeless says don’t count Cable and company out just because they up against some of Marvel’s most powerful heroes. Continue reading Uncanny Avengers vs. X-Force

Colossus: X-Man Needs Love

As I read Cable and X-Force #7 I had a thought about one of my favorite X-Men. Dennis Hopeless packs this issue with action, tense interactions and hilarious lines.

As bad girl Domino is breaking Colossus out of prison she tells him,”Look, I’m a big fan of yours. What can I say, big, burly and all sorts of broken. I’ve got a type.”

A sentiment shared by many girl and some guys for big emo lugs like Peter Rasputin.

The innocent Russian farm boy has had a universe of heartbreak and emotional torture over the years with deaths, resurrections, breakups and possessions.

Isn’t it about time Colossus get some… Continue reading Colossus: X-Man Needs Love

Colossus In Chains

Cable and X-Force are mutants on the run as a new arc kicks off this week. Colossus is one of my favorite X-Men but he’s been recruited to Cable’s crew and look where it got him!

Writer Dennis Hopeless has taken the tortured metal man into new territory after Avengers vs. X-Men. No Kitty Pryde. No X-Men. Hopeless explains his approach to Peter:

“Colossus is definitely Continue reading Colossus In Chains

Director Bryan Singer revealed Daniel Cudmore will return as Colossus in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The director also revealed Boo Boo Stewart and Fan BingBing have joined the cast via Twitter.

Cudmore played the X-Man who can transform his body into organic steel in X2: X-Men United and X3: The Last Stand. Cudmore played a role in The Twilight Saga. In the classic comic book storyline the film is based on Colossus married Kitty Pryde. In the films Kitty was part of a romantic triangle with Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) and Rogue (Anna Paquin.)

It was revealed earlier that BingBing will play Blink. No word on which character Stewart will play but when I saw his picture my brain jumped to (young Nightcrawler, the original Thunderbird- John Proudstar, or his brother Warparth – James Proudstar)

The director’s Tweet showed the cast list and mentioned the awards among the cast and ended with “now let’s blow —- up!”

Looks like we’ll see a famous Colossus/Wolverine fastball special in the next film!

Kitty Pryde and Colossus on the Northwest are back! This is one of my favorite cosplay couples portraying my favorite Marvel couple. This Kitty & Colossus are always updating their cosplay. Kitty added Lockheed at the Jet City Comic Book Show and this year at Emerald City Comicon the X-woman added a space helmet! Looks like Peter Rasputin bulked up his costume too.

While I was trying to attend panels, get scoop and be an all-out fanboy Josh Lewis of KOMONEWS.COM and Seattle Pulp was like Multiple Man Continue reading Kitty Pryde & Colossus at Emerald City Comicon

CABLE AND X-FORCE: Colossus, Hope and Cyclops!

Cable and X-Men are mutants on the run. This powerhouse team has been branded as terrorists. Colossus is one of my favorite X-Men but writer Dennis Hopeless it taking the character into new territory after Avengers vs. X-Men. No Kitty Pryde. No X-Men. Domino thrives on living a life on the run. Colossus not so much as Hopeless explains:

“Colossus is definitely having the worst time of it. He’s dealing with a lot of guilt—old guilt and new guilt—and wants to atone. There’s a simple solution to all of this, but it’s tough to save the world from behind bars. Pete is torn between his guilt and his loyalty to X-Force and their mission”

Pete won’t be on the run much longer. As you can see from Cable and X-Force #6 Colossus goes to prison.

“He wants to make amends, do his time and move on from all the guilt. He likes prison in a weird way. It’s as though a weight has been lifted from his chest and he can breathe again. The only thing particularly difficult about jail is that Domino, Cable and X-Force won’t leave him alone in there.”

Hope Summers is another mutant who’s been “exiled” from the flagship X-titles. The mutant messiah is back with her “dad” and Hopeless will continue to explore Cable’s relationship with the girl he raised and his father, Cyclops.

“I think in both cases, the relationship is hard because of how similar the fathers are to their children. Hope drives Cable nuts because Continue reading CABLE AND X-FORCE: Colossus, Hope and Cyclops!
