Magneto is about to do it again…lighting a fuse that will ignite huge new drama for the X-Men.

Tensions are high between Inhumans and mutants. The Terrigen Mists creating new Inhumans are killing mutants. Magneto is leading a pro-active squad of Uncanny X-Men in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now. Storm’s Extraordinary X-Men team are trying to rescue as many mutants as they can. Marvel already declared an iconic hero will die leading to Civil War II.

The publisher shared the ominous cover to Captain America: Sam Wilson #10 where the new Cap is called on to honor a fallen hero.

Captain Marvel and Iron Man will lead opposing forces over the fate of a new Inhuman with the power to see the future. Inhuman Ulysses appeared before a deadly attack by Thanos (in the Free Comic Book Day issue) that may have claimed a beloved Avenger.

CIVIL WAR II Who Are THE ACCUSED And THE FALLEN

Marvel announced two special tie-in issues for this year’s big event with the ominous tease:

“Before the first shots of Civil War II have even been fired, the casualties already loom large.”

The publisher announced CIVIL WAR II: THE ACCUSED and CIVIL WAR II: THE FALLEN suggesting that this conflict will not be without cost. Marvel already teased the death of a major character in this superhero showdown between forces following Iron Man and Captain Marvel.

“Like the other tie-ins that we’re doing, you can just read the core series and be fine. But for greater insight and greater nuance, these one-shots will help to flesh out some of the most important parts of the story.” said Executive Editor Tom Brevoort.

THE ACCUSED and THE FALLEN details are classified for now but Brevoort gave Marvel.com insight as to the top secret creative teams.
