The first trailer for SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY and four character posters arrive via StarWars.com after a surprise teaser in the Super Bowl.

Alden Ehrenrech is young Han, Donald Glover is Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo is a young Chewbacca. Woody Harrelson, Emila Clarke, Thandie Newton and Paul Bettany join the Star Wars cinematic universe in new roles revealing the origin of the smuggler turned Rebel Alliance hero. STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Trailer Trilogy

The journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens is nearly complete.

This week saw the arrival of the third and final trailer for the next chapter in the saga that introduces new heroes and villains with old friends.

It started with “An Awakening” then “Chewie, We’re Home” and now “The Force is Calling to You” and in just months fans will go warp speed.

New Comics Picks for October 14, 2015

Chewbacca #1 Sometimes you get what you wish for! At a Marvel Emerald City Comicon panel, I asked for a Chewie solo book even if the word balloons were just grunts and growls. I think we’ll see more from writer Deadpool writer Gerry Duggan and artist Phil Noto as Chewie gets a new sidekick on a new planet but familiar Imperial trouble.

New Avengers #1 Hanging out on Avengers Island with a rebel team (Sunspot, Cannonball, Squirrel Girl, Wiccan, Hulkling, Hawkeye and Songbird) by Al Ewing and Gerardo Sandoval. Han Solo’s co-pilot gets the spotlight in his own comic book series and he’s getting his own new sidekick.

It was all part of the huge news for Star Wars and Chewie fans during Comic-Con. The other was seeing Peter Mayhew in and out of costume in a new Star Wars: The Force Awakens reel.

Marvel announced a Star Wars:  Chewbacca limited series by Gerry Duggan and Phil Noto. Chewbacca crash lands on a strange new planet for his own adventure and make new allies while dodging the Empire.

Marvel announced Chewbacca will star in his own comic book via MTV News.

Writer Gerry Duggan (Deadpool) and artist Phil Noto (Black Widow, Star Wars: Shattered Empire) will be creative team on the upcoming Star Wars: Chewbacca limited series.

Harrison Ford Storms Off Jimmy Kimmel Over STAR WARS

Like the Millennium Falcon speeding through an asteroid field – Harrison Ford dodged Star Wars sequel questions from “devoted” fans in the audience at Jimmy Kimmel Live. Ford was promoting his new film 42 the Jackie Robinson story but Jimmy’s plan to stage a Star Wars reunion backfired and Ford left the set.
