Batman #28 showed us the future of Gotham City with Selina Kyle as the ruler of the criminal underworld, a medical crisis affecting the city, Harper Row as a costumed crimefighter and Stephanie Brown as the Spoiler.

 

In the DC Comics September previews for the weekly series it looks like we’re getting closer to that near future – especially with this shot of Stephanie Brown in costume as the Spoiler.

Ann Nocenti is making Selina Kyle smarter and even more manipulative. The Catwoman writer was part of DC Comics all-star team of creators at Emerald City Comicon on the 75th Anniversary of the Batman’s debut in Detective Comics.

 

Catwoman #30 is the start of Race of Thieves as Selina enters a global contest to become the best thief on the planet. There’s no honor among thieves and Selina is outgunned against more super powered criminals.

Gotham is moving full speed ahead. Fox’s Batman prequel television series reveals the early days of Jim Gordon and the infamous villains of Gotham City. The origin series will include a young Bruce Wayne (around age 12) and classic rogues like Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman and even Joker was mentioned.
