CAPTAIN JACK In New TORCHWOOD Comic Debuting at SDCC

Breakout Doctor Who companion Captain Jack is back in a new ongoing Torchwood comic book series co-written by John Barrowman.

BBC Worldwide and Titan Comics announced the new series will debut at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, with special guests including Captain Jack himself, John Barrowman, and Carole E. Barrowman.

CAPTAIN JACK Returns In New TORCHWOOD Comic By JOHN BARROWMAN

Captain Jack is back in an all-new Torchwood comic by John Barrowman.

Titan Comics announced that Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood will return in an all-new ongoing comic series starring the dashing Captain Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper.

The new book is written by Captain Jack himself, John Barrowman, and Carole E. Barrowman, and with issues illustrated by Antonio Fuso and Pasquale Qualano.

The new adventures are in continuity with the new hit Torchwood audio dramas from Big Finish and as part of the official continuation of the Torchwood saga. The new comic arrives in stores on July 6, the week of Titan’s third annual Doctor Who Comics Day event – Saturday, July 9, 2016. The Ninth Doctor (as played by Christopher Eccleston) is back in brand new comic book adventure by Cavan Scott from Titan Comics. Ten years after the Time Lord’s television comeback, The Ninth Doctor along with his fan-favorite companions are together again in a new story: Weapons of Past Destruction.

Scott has written a series of Doctor Who spinoff radio plays, short stories and co-authored Doctor Who: Who-ology. In our interview I asked about the impact of The Ninth Doctor and how his new story fits into the timeline:
