One of the X-Men’s most ruthless and vicious enemies takes on the Children of the Atom in the next big screen adventure.

Oscar Isaac (A Most Violent Year) will play En Sabah Nur in X-Men: Apocalypse and reveals director Bryan Singer’s approach to portraying the classic villain.

“In the early conversations we talked a lot about that [Apocalypse’s distinct point of view and agenda],” Isaac told IGN. “Of course, you read the comic book, and [Apocalypse is] not so shaded with gray — except his face. BRYAN SINGER Confirmed To Direct X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Bryan Singer will return to direct X-Men: Apocalypse and three favorite team members will be recast.

Singer signed on with Fox for the 2016 release according to Deadline and from this synopsis, fans can look forward to seeing younger versions of Scott Summers, Jean Grey and Storm.
The sequel is being scripted by Simon Kinberg from a story written by Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris.

Which Mutants Could Be In X-MEN APOCALYPSE

X-Men: Days of Future Past in just a few months away but director Bryan Singer is already thinking of which mutants would be in the sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse.

“I’m considering a Gambit and potentially a young Nightcrawler for Apocalypse,” he said. “[I was] going to have Nightcrawler appear [in Days of Future Past] and even wrote a scene, but I felt that we were forcing too many mutants known history,” Singer told Cine Premiere. The director is finishing up X-Men: Days of Future Past which unites the cast of the original trilogy and X-Men: First Class in a film based on the classic story by Chris Claremont. Singer was a one man tease machine via Twitter sharing news and pics from the upcoming sequel which arrives in May 2014.
