HULKS Smashing Fresh Starts

It’s hard to be Hulk. The gamma giants have had it really rough recently in the Marvel Universe but change is coming for those who go by the famous name. Death, resurrection, incarceration, traumatization – it all hit one or more of the extended Hulk family but Marvel Fresh Start marks more change for the Green Goliaths.

Bruce Banner was killed. Jen Walters was near fatally smacked by Thanos. Rick Jones was executed. A Hulk/Wolverine hybrid is now on the run.

The Immortal Hulk emerged this week. Marvel’s Fresh Start initiative marks a return to glory for one Hulk and a new beginning for another.

MARVEL Kills Off AVENGER In CIVIL WAR II

When superheroes go to war…no one is safe… not even a founding Avenger!

A major Marvel icon was killed off in Civil War II #3.

The identity of the killer may be even more shocking.

The previous chapter ended with a cliffhanger. Ulysses (the new Inhuman with visions of the future) saw the Hulk killing several of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Carol Danvers was seen approaching Dr. Bruce Banner (who is free of the Hulk thanks to Amadeus Cho.)

The man who plays the Hulk is weighing on the outing of an X-Man.

It was just a week ago (not counting the leak a few days prior) that young Bobby Drake came out (or was he outed) in All-New X-Men #44 by Brian Michael Bendis.

Young Jean Grey read Iceman’s mind and confronted him on his sexist comments about female teammates saying he was overcompensation because he’s gay. Bobby and Jean eventually bonded and he did confess to her but wondered why his old self isn’t gay – or is he?

HULK AVENGER: AGE OF ULTRON Poster

The character posters for Avengers: Age of Ultron are smashing into the fanbase.

Mark Ruffalo revealed this Hulk poster for Marvel’s super sequel via Twitter.

Ruffalo reprises his role as Dr. Bruce Banner but will HULK up in a battle with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) in his HULKBUSTER Iron Man Armor.

But the big enemy is the evil A.I. and his legion of robot warriors.

Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1.
