Mutant heroes return in X-Men: Apocalypse but are producers looking to the stars for the next cinematic chapter of the franchise?

The X-Men are mutants who fight for a world that fears and hates them. Those enemies are often from outer space.

The powers in charge of the X-Men film franchise (producer Simon Kinberg, director Bryan Singer) said the next movie will be set in the ’90’s and could send the mutants into space.

The Kree are a major alien enemy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) but which aliens from comics could be the X-Men’s adversaries?

Marc Guggenheim (Arrow) takes over for Brian Wood on the series. The new X-Men writer is taking inspiration from the past for his upcoming arc starring the all-female team.

Captain Marvel vs. Brood!?

Avengers: The Enemy Within continues this week as Carol and some of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes face an alien alliance of a legendary Kree soldier and the Brood – infamous aliens from the X-Men enemies gallery.

Carol Danvers has proven herself to be a great heroes as the new Captain Marvel but a brain injury has grounded her and is threatening her sanity. Kelly Sue DeConnick is the architect of Avengers: The Enemy Within crossing over in Captain Marvel and this week’s Avengers Assemble #16.

Kitty Pryde and Iron Man?

Will Tony Stark hit on Kitty Pryde?

A+X is a fun new series in the spirit of old school team-up books like (Marvel Team-Up which starred Spidey and a different guest star each issue and Marvel-Two-In-One which co-starred the Thing.) In the aftermath of Avengers versus X-Men this is a way to let the healing begin and for fans to enjoy some unlikely duos in action together.

This week A+X #2 brings together Iron Man and Kitty Pryde against the Brood! How will the genius inventor and the X-Men’s computer wiz defeat the alien invaders? Will playboy Tony Stark resist flirting with Kitty? Good thing she’s got a dragon to burn away Brood and unwanted suitors!

A+X #2 will feature Spider-Man and the Beast against…zombies? Maybe they should call Doctor Strange for a consult?

Kitty Pryde Pregnant – Is Colossus the Daddy?

Kitty Pryde is pregnant.

I assume and hope Colossus is the daddy but in the X-Men world never assume.

When the cover Wolverine and the X-Men #6 revealed a pregnant Kitty surrounded by nasty Brood it sent chills through me and sent X-fans into a frenzy. In last month’s issue #4 Kitty started experiencing sudden symptoms and was soon ballooned out and ready to pop.

Today Marvel gave Comic Book Resources this exclusive preview art from Wolverine and the X-Men #5.
